Reporting Channel and Responsible Operations
The Varsinais-Suomi Regional Council has a whistleblowing reporting channel where you can report irresponsible conduct or misconduct observed within the organization.
Through the reporting channel, employees or elected officials of the Regional Council can report suspected misconduct, crimes, violations, or negligence related to the operations of the Varsinais-Suomi Regional Council. In addition, reports can be submitted by project funding applicants and parties involved in the implementation of projects funded and carried out by the Varsinais-Suomi Regional Council. Suspected misconduct may concern, for example:
- Bribery
- Corruption
- Money laundering
- Shadow economy
- Unfair competition
- Environmental violations
- Occupational safety
- Data protection
- Working conditions
- Other unethical conduct
We take all illegal, unethical, and other conduct contrary to our operating guidelines seriously and encourage you to bring such matters to our attention whenever there is reasonable suspicion.
Reports can be submitted either with your name or anonymously. The reporting channel is managed by an external partner (EasyWhistle) to ensure anonymity. The reporting procedure is encrypted and password-protected. All reports are handled confidentially and the reporter cannot be traced. Please remember to save the identifier provided by the system so that you can view the response and follow the progress of the handling process.
The implementation of the misconduct reporting channel is based on the EU Whistleblower Directive.
Please note that the reporting channel is not a feedback channel but is intended for reporting suspected misconduct. You can provide general feedback through the designated channels by contacting the Regional Council’s staff or by sending an email to kirjaamo@varsinais-suomi.fi.
