Regional land use planning, in turn, implements these guidelines into concrete land use solutions that guide municipal planning and other official planning in the region. Transport system work strengthens the conditions for mobility and accessibility and plans smooth and sustainable mobility throughout the region. The work also supports the region’s business sector, everyday life, and climate objectives. Marine spatial planning reconciles different uses of marine areas and safeguards the good status of the marine environment. Planning provides a framework for responsible use of marine areas now and in the future.
