The Regional Council of Southwest Finland strengthened its communications team at the beginning of the year when Eveliina Korhonen started as Communications Planner. Eveliina has previously worked as a marketing communications specialist and in tourism advocacy.
New Role, Many Opportunities
– The Communications Planner role is new, and I see many opportunities in this! I love social media and storytelling, so the position already feels very much my own, Eveliina enthuses.
– Additionally, it’s exciting to challenge myself: can I communicate the Council’s matters in an interesting and understandable way.
The first weeks at the Regional Council of Southwest Finland have gone well, and Eveliina feels she has been warmly welcomed into the team.
Bolder Social Media Communications
It is already clear that the number of short videos on the Council’s social media channels will increase significantly.
– Sometimes my video calls clearly cause slight sweating and shaky hands, but I believe that once we get past the initial nervousness, we have many enthusiastic people for videos and social media in general!
Adventures Around the World, Focus on Southwest Finland
– I crave adventures and love good stories. In pursuit of them, I have traveled to Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, among other places.
However, according to Eveliina, nothing beats Southwest Finland, and she declares herself the world’s biggest Southwest Finland fan.
– I champion Southwest Finland wherever I go. And although I have adventured around the world, in my opinion nothing beats the Turku Archipelago! I also love Pomponrahka, Högsåra, and Katariinanlaakso. It’s wonderful how diverse natural destinations can be found here.
